March is here, which means one thing—March Madness! It’s an exciting time for both men’s and women’s college basketball, as teams battle for their shot at the championship. Who are you rooting for this year?

Last year, Caitlin Clark brought the excitement to Indiana, putting women’s basketball in the spotlight with her incredible performances. This year promises just as much action, with powerhouse teams and potential Cinderella stories waiting to unfold.

The official release date for both the men's and women's brackets is Sunday, March 16. The men's bracket will be announced first, followed by the women's bracket. Once the matchups are set, the real fun begins—filling out brackets and making those bold predictions!

Key Dates for March Madness 2025:

  • First Four: March 18-19

  • First Round: March 20-21

  • Second Round: March 22-23

  • Sweet 16: March 27-28

  • Elite Eight: March 29-30

  • Final Four: April 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas

  • NCAA Championship Game: April 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas

One of my favorite parts of March Madness has always been filling out my bracket. When the brackets are set, I love the friendly competition—especially with my mom. She was the ultimate scorekeeper, tracking every win and loss with her trusty clipboard and red marker. We all put in $5, and somehow, she managed to keep up with it all. I have no idea how she did it!

I always root for our local teams—there’s nothing better than seeing them make a deep tournament run! Whether they’re a top seed or a surprise underdog, the excitement of cheering for teams close to home makes March Madness even more special.

I think my love for basketball comes from my dad—he was an awesome player in high school. I’ll never forget the story of how he hit a three-pointer in the final seconds to win the game! That kind of excitement is exactly what makes March Madness so special—anything can happen, and the most unforgettable moments are made when the pressure is at its highest.

Now, the big question—who will be this year’s Cinderella team? Every year, an underdog rises to shock the world. Will we see another deep run from a team no one expected? I can’t wait to find out!
